Indonesia is a beautiful country which has lots of culture and many kinds of traditional dances in any places. One of the most popular dances is Kecak dance in Bali which has no musical accompaniment, because the rhythm is provided by a chanting 'monkey' chorus and the polyrhythmic of the chanting provides the name 'Ke-chak' which the sound is come from the mouth.

The Kecak itself is taken from the Ramayana which prince Rama, a warrior and rightful hire to the throne of Ayodya, goes hunting for a golden deer and his beautiful wife is kidnapped by the evil Rawana who want to have Sita (Rama's wife) to be his wife, and Rama rounds up his armies to defeat those evil. The character of Rama wears green dancing in the center of the circle and the golden seer in yellow.

The Kecak is such fascinating dance to watch because there are fifty or so men in the checkered pants which both the choir and the props providing the music for the story in the series of constant vocal chants that change with the mood of the actor and also the change of the dance movement.

They wave their arms to simulate fire and reposition themselves around the stage to represent wind and fire, prison cells, and unseen hand of protection from the Gods and this dance is played in five acts. It last roughly 45 minutes and become the most popular dance to attract the foreign traveler who come to Bali. Kecak dances has broadly famous to the foreign because they love such kind of culture which they can not found in their country.
